Americans have repeatedly overcome crises much worse than the #WuFlu. Our national, state and local leaders have respectfully asked us to practice social distancing to buy time for us to ramp up a response. I gladly used a week of vacation time to comply. No big deal.

Preámbulo: No es el apocalipsis, los coronavirus suelen tener un nivel de mortalidad muy bajo (por debajo del 8%, por lo visto el coronavirus de Wuhan tiene una mortalidad del 3% y sobre todo por complicaciones respiratorias), lo preocupante es la transmisión Humano-Humano.
Porque insisto hay cosas que no nos están contando (y que puedes descubrir siguiendo las noticias oficiales y leyendo entre líneas, sin caer en teorías conspiranoicas).

The evolving #WuFlu situation brings back vivid memories of SARS, when I just happen to job shadow the executive director of the Centre for Disease Control here in Vancouver for a week, as set up by my high school career councillor.
When the first case of SARS was confirmed in Canada, an emergency meeting was called with “Atlanta” (US CDC/North American HQ, all levels of Canadian government, health authorities, researchers, and experts. I was allowed into this “war room”, super out of place as a teenager.

#BREAKING: Macau confirms its first #coronavirus infection, says Macau’s health bureau. Bureau director, Lei Chin-ion says the patient is a 52yo tourist from Wuhan and travelled to Macau via the high-speed rail on Jan 19. She has never contacted anyone diagnosed with #WuFlu.
She travelled to from Wuhan to Zhuhai via the high-speed rail on January 19 and arrived in Macau later the night by land, Dr Lei adds in the press conference, and she spent most of her stay in Macau at a hotel-casino. He also emphasises that the infection was an imported case.
The woman is being kept in an isolation ward while her two close contacts are also under a close monitor. Due to the confirmation, the Macau Government Tourism Office also requires travel agents to notify the office if any of their travel groups comprise any tourist from Wuhan.
