As a 13 year old, I knew that what was happening would change the world. I taped the live newscasts (yes, with a VCR) to capture the raw emotions of the moment, so I could someday share them with my children.
I have been to the 9/11 memorial site in NYC. A couple years after Americans across the East coast and Midwest spent days, into weeks, into months digging people out of the rubble. While it was still a construction site covered in the notes from survivors.
