The color is phenomenal, especially for an away kit. However, it’s pretty plain beside the unique color. Also wish it was more green to fit their verde color scheme. #AustinFC

After enduring a lot of sugar induced hangovers, expensive bar tabs and Excel nightmares, I have now officially tried enough spiked seltzer’s to pair them with every MLS team. Obviously this is very important information and the thread will begin once the EmergeC kicks in...

A thread: Hey @WhitecapsFC I want you to know that a few months ago when I booked this trip to New York I booked a flight home that has me rising at 330am ET on Saturday to fly LGA to YYZ to YVR in time to watch the Whitecaps play the Union at 2pm
I kind of pride myself on bending an insane travel schedule around Caps matches, because I inexplicably love the club.

It’s clear to me now that you aren’t a club. It felt like one at some point but even when you were obviously acting like a franchise, I still cling to the Dream that we had a local team run by local people.
A few thoughts about the story regarding the 2007/2008 Whitecaps women’s team and U20 Canadian Women’s National team, which I’ve reported on. #VWFC cbc.ca/news/canada/br…
Both the Whitecaps + Canada Soccer refer to the independent ombudsperson they hired in 2008 as defense they acted appropriately on the players’ allegations. So let’s see the ombudsperson’s report then. I’ve asked both organizations for it but received no response.
That report is what led to the “mutual decision” to part ways with the coach. He was not fired, nor subjected to consequences which would stop him from getting another job coaching teenage girls, which he did almost immediately.
