The EU calls this renewable energy.

These trees are not by-products, they are targeted to be logged to make pellets.
Without incentives, they would still be alive in a forest.
This is a scandal.

To generate electricity for NECEC, Hydro-Quebec will use 61 dams and 28 reservoirs that have flooded and destroyed tens of thousands of square miles of boreal forests, wetlands, and taiga.
