First, big picture: the GOP narrative of a Latino red wave hinged on (1) a big showing in FL, (2) signature wins in TX, (3) gains in AZ and/or NV. Short version: they passed the first test and failed on the other two.
How do you grade Dem performance with Latinos? They got the job done; they held the margins they needed to win. Caveats: FL stands out as an untreated wound; & there was no rebound to 2018 levels anywhere.

Ok, so some background, I don't look wildly at the whole market, it's always a targeted look with the goal as the guide. I started this one at the start of the year while looking for this year's (I hate to say it…😔)…dark horse.
The guiding goal for me was to find something that would be able to take good (imo) volumes, and be a business that's growing, in an industry that's growing (or preferably multiple), while the business itself grabs and builds on opportunities everywhere it touches…

1/ Beyond the decisions that are taken or not, the uncertainty created by #US messaging on #Syria before and now on #Iraq is making the work of US allies very complicated. Both military and civilian actions c/ #ISIS are paralized by uncertainty. Planning is simply impossible.
2/ Nobody wants #endlesswars and #America has to decide for itself its level of engagement in the #MiddeEast. The #US could be right to call for #burdensharing, esp. from #Gulf & #Europe, but the way it has been doing it makes it difficult for allies to answer operationally.

Different types of private #firms have different appeals and demands, so different approaches are adopted to support them now. Local #governments, out of social #stability considerations, mainly channel their support towards large firms that are major #employment contributors.
#State-owned #asset platforms are more concerned about #profitability for fear of loss or reduction of state assets. #Securities companies which have a lot of #equity #pledge worry more about how to address #risks related to the pledges.
