Let's start with when many of us, at least me, first saw Tyler Shamedro. It's even more cringe now and was a perfect preview for the incompetence and utter embarassment that he was to inflict on us as a province as health minister. Link to article cbc.ca/news/canada/ed…
Shandro was the general in the continuing war on doctors, and other HCWs, in this province. His desperate need to impose his and Kenney's will, to cut and damage our system, went back and forth, angering anyone paying attention, and culminating in Shandro tearing up the contract
@jkenney @shandro @SteveBuick2 just to illustrate how hard the "Issues Managers" are working today/tonight: Trendmaps show that #IdentifyYourself Steve is the top tweeter in the province. Trying to put a positive spin on the trainwreck that his bosses are.

2...Has anyone taken notice of the fact that 1 month ago Kenney committed Albertans to each pay (that includes your kids) $2000 each for a pipeline that couldn't be built due to social distancing restrictions? That's $8000 if you are a family of 4. How is that acceptable?
Are you KIDDING me??? Here is yet ANOTHER example of @shandro messing with things he does NOT at all understand nor should change on his own. Yes, he has UNILATERALLY eliminated multiple rural communities from the Rural Remote program and “announced” it on the AB Health website.
NO consultation (or notification beyond a website Bulletin) with docs or AMA; no evaluation of community or patient needs; no “sober second though”, just Removed. Oh but, he WILL consult MLA’s on community eligibility. So now partisan politics chooses which communties get docs??
So @Albertadoctors and rural physicians who CREATED the Rural Remote program and whose clinics/patients rely on it for sustainability, are not WORTHY of revamping eligibility. But a bunch of MLA’s who have demonstrated NO clue beyond UCP “party-lines” choose preferred communties?
I’ve had DM’s from people asking what cuts @shandro is STILL barging ahead with on April 1 despite a pandemic. This thread attempts to summarize ALL the remaining cuts @GoAHealth is threatening for docs. Some remain huge ??’s, thus why income for clinics in 12 days is UNKNOWN. 👇
1) Complex modifiers - the #10minutemedicine problem. Docs want to spend TIME providing thorough and quality care to pts, and the 15-24 min modifier @shandro targeted is a sweet spot btwn access & comprehensiveness. On HOLD for now as limp attempt to assuage +*public/doc protests
2) Comprehensive care plans - another MASSIVE hit to family physicians providing continuity of care to Complex patients. These plans allowed time for education, proactive mngmt and setting shared goals of care. GONE as of Apr 1
