Canadian actor and the writer, producer of the immensely popular comedy show Schitt’s Creek Daniel Levy (@danjlevy) lashed out at the Indian arm of a global television channel for allegedly censoring a kiss between the two leading men of the show.
Levy took to Twitter about the censorship of gay intimacy on particularly the Indian channel. @danjlevy had pointed out a snippet from the show that Comedy Central India had shared on Twitter in March 2019 when the show was being aired on the channel.

You know what Stone Ridge, Accord, New Paltz in upstate NY remind me of? Schitt's Creek. Everybody is nice and liberal and welcoming. Rainbow flags and #BlackLivesMatter signs and everybody knows everybody. Welcome change from the default Trump signs elsewhere in rural areas.
Well, #SchittsCreek is sort of modeled after such areas anyway. They never specify what state or even country they are in. But the they did the popup store in upstate NY.

Now that all of the Canadian networks have unveiled their primetime schedules for next season, can we talk about how utterly disappointing it is to see so few scripted Canadian TV originals on the schedules?
Other than @CBC, there are absolutely ZERO scripted Canadian originals this fall. CTV is holding both the new drama @TransplantCTV and hit series @CardinalCTV until midseason. Same for Corus with the upcoming #Nurses.
One thing I've learned covering #Cdntv over the past few years is how MUCH talent exists BTS in this industry. There are so many great voices and ideas out there just waiting to be tapped. I really wish networks would invest in that because it all has a trickle down effect too.
