Such metrics shows a remarkable growth in spite of the global economic difficulties owing to the Russia-Ukraine war and effects of the climate change.

#RwOT at Yuhi we have been testing the @SpaceX #Starlink in Rwanda so that you don't have to venture into it blindly and not knowing what to expect, and here are a couple of observations we have made for the last couple of weeks of using it... 🧵
1. It took about 12 days from the day it was shipped to be delivered to us. This was a door-to-door delivery, so there was no hustle with customs or getting licenses from RURA.
2. From the packaging it seemed like the dish wasn't new, it looked like it had been used (had dust)

3. The setup is straightforward - you just need to plug in the power cable to the router, then the ethernet cable from the router to the dish (For power and data).

(Their words meant, ‘He is not a Muzungu, he is Rwandan!) It seems that the ideas of being ‘Muzungu’ or ‘Rwandan’ in my neighborhood are not just fixed to racial identity, but rather to how you engage in community.

our restaurant @LoungeTania was closed yesterday, August 12, by the @RemeraRwanda E.S. for apparent "#noisepollution". #Kigali #RwOT #Rwanda
We are located in a commercial area in Gishushu (with little to no residential presence) and have been operational since February 2020. We have been organizing events on our front yard (mainly acoustic live band or DJ) since October 2021.
In May 2022, we received apparent "noise pollution" warnings/a 150K fine. Since June, we moved our events at the back, facing offices (M&M Plaza, Tele 10, RDB etc). Yesterday, @RemeraRwanda decided to close the restaurant after a complaint from a citizen living in Nyarutarama.

What most of us (young people) might not understand is that although our chances of recovery are high, we still run the risk of infecting people with weaker immune systems if we do not take necessary precautions. We should try and practice social distancing. #WashYourHands 🙏🏿❤️
Again #Rwot, a lot of people will lose their livelihood and only mean of putting food on the table, for a while, if we do not abide by the rules. Social distancing should be our civic duty. Stay home and stay safe 🙏🏿❤️

Someone has literally been shaming women who experienced sexual harassment or even rape, or whose loved ones have been victims, or for simply for denouncing rapists. He went as far as questioning the integrity of our justice system suggesting it is easily swayed by tweets! 2/12
Social media is an equaliser. You don’t need to be a lawyer or anybody for that matter to have a say on these streets. It’s an open space with a cocktail of different emotions, opinions & allegations, some fake. And not all must necessarily align with our biases or beliefs. 3/12

He told me that back in the years,traveling from one district or one province to another for example Butare to Kigali ,recquired a special travelling permission referred to as a “ Laisser Passer.”
The permission lasted after some days and it was mandatory to show it to local authorities of the place you travelled to as a stranger in their constituency.
