Dong defeated current #CPC comms director, Sarah Fisher, in the 2019 election in question. You may know Fischer from her vocal support of the #FluTruxKlan destabilization operation that cost 🇨🇦 billions & provided a-bombs of disinformation to the political right, including 🇷🇺&🇨🇳.

Claiming China had the ability to chose 🇨🇦’s gov’t right down to whether minority or majority, it utter nonsense. How was this done, exactly? Someone @csiscanada showed #RobertFife “top secret”materials? Is that legal? How did Fife obtain clearance to view such material? #cdnpoli
We all witnessed a tsunami of disinformation & info ops AGAINST the Liberals in the last 2 elections. We saw attacks & manufactured “scandals”. I monitored multiple media sites & don’t recall disinformation about the #CPC in the almost entirely #Conservative owned #cdnmedia.
This recent skewed piece by #RobertFife has a political agenda. China absolutely interferes, as does Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Israel, UAE & of course, the networks of US billionaires (ie Koch Network). But to suggest 🇨🇳 was able to choose our gov’t is suspicious as hell….
Remember who #RobertFife is. He published false information leaked from anonymous sources demonstrating that Maher Arar was a terrorist (he wasn’t). Fife’s reporting was instrumental in not only the false smearing of Arar, but also Arar’s torture in Syria. thewalrus.ca/hear-no-evil-w…
But worse than that. It wasn’t only a glaring #CdnMediaFail. It was an attempt to smear the Chrétien/Martin gov’t, working on securing Canadian citizen, Arar’s, release from a Syrian prison. Top RCMP & CSIS officials were implicated in the leak. The smear of Arar was political.
So I can’t help but find the timing of Fife being the vessel for re-releasing an old report re 🇨🇳’s interference in 🇨🇦’s affairs (on many fronts, for years) to be more than a tad suspect. Especially given the failure on the part of intelligence agencies & policing re the Convoy.
