I am pleased to announce that the @cityoftoronto will help Torontonians mark Canada’s 153rd birthday virtually on July 1st through a streamed and televised show that we are calling #CanadaDay2020.
Throughout the day, #CanadaDay2020 will be a mixture of live and pre-recorded performances, including among many others Jully Black, Gordon Lightfoot, and Ali Hassan. Program details are available at toronto.ca/canadaday.
#CanadaDay2020 will also feature #RespectTO to honour our frontline workers. I invite residents to nominate their frontline hero at: respectTO.ca. Nominated names will be broadcast throughout the show.
