At the climate talks #COP27, States agreed to:
1⃣ Create new funding arrangements to address the impacts of #ClimateChange in vulnerable countries, incl. a #LossAndDamageFund
2⃣ Establish a Transitional Committee that will meet throughout 2023 to decide the details of this fund.

No actual money has yet been pledged 💸 & yet – the decision at #COP28 to create a #LossAndDamageFund is a crucial 1st step towards a #ClimateJustice future in which communities are fairly compensated for the losses they are suffering due to a crisis they had no role in creating.
CIEL experts will be at @UNFCCC Climate Conference #COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh🇪🇬.
They'll be joining the negotiations, monitoring the ambition gap between what States have promised & what is necessary to address the #ClimateEmergency.

The 27th Conference of the Parties to the @UNFCCC, #COP27, is taking place as climate impacts are raging across the globe, from unprecedented floods in Pakistan to continued drought across Africa, record destruction by forest fires in Europe & intensified storms in North America.
Each recent devastating climate event underscores that the #ClimateCrisis is a #HumanRights crisis.
The only way out is by acting urgently to keep warming below 1.5°C, centering people in responses to the climate emergency 🫂 & equitably addressing its mounting impacts ⚖️.

And now I'm going to use my expertise to explain why this answer is an inadequate #remedy & why @ZalesJewelers has failed from a #BizHumanRights perspective to address #Racism in its operations.

#Remedy Kanakdhara Stotra for removing poverty :
Kanakdhara stotra was composed by Shri Adi Shankara. Once he was out asking for bhiksha. He went to a house of a very poor lady. The poor lady offered him an amla(gooseberry) as she had nothing else at her home.

Deeply moved by the kind gesture of the lady, Adi Shankara composed kanakdhara stotra in praise of MahaLakshmi . This stotra is said to erase the paap done in past lives and bless the natives with continuous flow of wealth.
It's adviced to recite this stotra 1/3/5 times everyday at fixed time. Offer dhoop, gandha,naivedya /pushpa to Mahalakshmi . Doing this stotra with sankalpa is also deemed auspicious and fruitful. Write it on a paper with red ink and then start reciting it from poornima/friday.
