7 yrs. ago today SCOTUS issued the disastrous Shelby decision, gutting the Voting Rights Act & unleashing a torrent of voter suppression. Just days ago we saw Shelby in action: sudden poll closures & long lines ALL OCCURRING in minority-heavy precincts. Coincidence? No.
We need to act fast & #ProtectOurVote by taking up & passing my bipartisan Voting Rights Advancement Act which the House ALREADY passed (#HR4) & is supported by 46 senators. My #VRAA would restore the Voting Rights Act, and in doing so, #RestoreTheVote.
Why is @senatemajldr afraid to release the #VRAA from his legislative graveyard? Empowering all Americans to vote isn't a Democratic or Republican priority; it's the American way. I urge all senators to join me in calling on Leader McConnell to allow a vote to #RestoreTheVote

The #2020elections are quickly approaching, yet four bills designed to safeguard our elections from foreign interference sit in the Senate. #ProtectOurVote
First up: the #SHIELDAct. This comprehensive bill would protect the legitimacy of our electoral process by requiring transparency and stopping disinformation campaigns.
Next up is the bipartisan Protect Our Elections Act. Sponsored by @SenRubioPress, @VanHollenforMD, @SenatorCollins, and @BenCardinforMD, this bill would prohibit foreign ownership and operation of companies providing election services.

🚨ALERT: @TarrantCountyTX’s voters, did you receive a letter from the county saying your voter registration was incomplete? Unfortunately, the county sent out incorrect information in a mailer. If you received the notice below, you can complete your information in person & vote!
The letter from @TarrantCountyTX incorrectly states that if you update your information within 10 days, your registration will be effective 30 days later. This is wrong. If you update within 10 days, your registration will be effective as of the date you originally sent it.
