La #Amazonia es considerada el pulmón del mundo porque absorbe millones de toneladas del dióxido de carbono presente en la atmósfera. Al reducir la cantidad mundial de este gas de efecto invernadero que calienta el planeta, contribuye a frenar el cambio climático #PrayforAmazonas
Con menor extensión de selva, la cantidad de CO2que ahora absorbe la #Amazonia se reducirá. Esto ya ha ocurrido. Hace 30años la selva capturaba el doble de toneladas de CO2 que ahora. Esto hace que haya más presencia de este gas en la atmósfera y aumente el calentamiento global.
Pero además de esto el #Amazonas es un regulador mundial del clima. Sus bosques tropicales y regiones boscosas regulan las lluvias y mantienen el ciclo del agua ya que sus árboles intercambian agua con la atmósfera y su gran rio aporta humedad #amazonasenllamas
