Guus is geen allrounder. Hij moet het hebben van die situaties waar hij zijn fysieke kwaliteit kan gebruiken. Zodra we tegen ‘de kleintjes’ speelden, werd zijn gebrek aan techniek een enorm probleem. We hebben allemaal gezien dat Joey zich kapot ergerde aan hem toch?

Ik heb ‘voor de leuk’ Peters systeem bij Leverkusen aangehouden voor mijn spreekbeurt. Ik snap dat de beste man ongetwijfeld volwassener is geworden in de tussentijd, maar Leverkusen voelt als het onvervalste onverdunde Bosz-systeem. Volle bak gaan.
Om maar met de deur in huis te vallen: Bosz’ aanstelling gaat zorgen voor pijnlijke keuzes op het middenveld. De Apeldoorner speelde bij Leverkusen met een ‘dubbele tien’ en een ‘energieke balafpakkende zes’. Ziet u het probleem al?
Nou, here we go. Opa heeft zich ook maar even verdiept in "Cocuball". Ik ben toch aangenaam verrast door de verhalen over ons clubicoon of zoals Rooney zei: ‘de beste coach waar ik ooit mee heb gewerkt.’ #PSV
Ook in Phillips verhaal (net als bij Marsch) gaat het over flexibiliteit. Elkaars positie overnemen en door die positiewisselingen ruimte te creëren. Hij begon zelf natuurlijk als linksbuiten en veranderde in een van de beste verdedigende middenvelder die Nederland ooit had.
De hoofdregel: je zorgt eerst dat je de basisprincipes goed op orde hebt, voordat je extra dingen kunt doen. Voor sommigen houdt het dus op bij de basis, maar anderen kunnen uiteindelijk de momenten in het spel herkennen die kansen opleveren.
Omdat Jesse Marschs naam nu toch echt begint te gonzen hier. Is je ouwe Opa even in de filosofie van de beste man gedoken. Even de oude journalistieke veren afgestoft. Om in de termen van Fabrizio Romano te spreken: here we go. #PSV
Het belangrijkste is dat hij alle 11 spelers constant op elkaars positie letten. Als 1 speler gaat, MOET hij kunnen vertrouwen op beweging achter zich. Zo creëer je vrijheid voor agressiviteit en overtalsituaties.
Als er eilandjes ontstaan, verliezen spelers hun motivatie om door te drukken (waar kennen we dat van PSV-ers?) en daarom is dat vertrouwen het allerbelangrijkste.

Prezzi #TTF in diminuzione. Non per forza positivo.
Se i prezzi non salgono vuol dire che -semplificando- non si riesce a pagare di più.
L'economia rallenta, la domanda diminuisce, il prezzo scende. Il compromesso che ci raccontiamo da tempo.
Consideriamo positivo al 50% 😇

Renato Sanches e #Chukwuemeka sembrano ormai sfumati, ma pare che il Milan possa comunque acquistare un centrocampista centrale. Se i rossoneri erano davvero interessati a quei due profili, è allora probabile che non si stia cercando un giocatore necessariamente simile a #Kessie.
Si tratta infatti di due centrali non così adatti a giocare in una coppia di mediani, ed è comunque possibile che #Pioli possa variare e provare soluzioni con un vertice basso e due mezzali.

I’ve had a couple of requests to update the two-page “executive summary” for leading Dutch clubs, so this thread includes 2019/20 financial overviews for #Ajax #PSV #Feyenoord and #AZ. Note: the Dutch season ended early in April due to COVID-19.
#Ajax pre-tax profit fell €42m from €69m to €27m, mainly due to revenue dropping €37m (19%) from record €199m to €162m and expenses increasing by €17m, partly offset by profit on player sales rising €12m to €84m. Debt now includes €151m financial leases due to IFRS 16.
#PSV revenue fell €25m (26%) from €97m to €72m, as they competed in Europa League, rather than Champions League in prior season. As a result, operating loss widened to €41m, but pre-tax profit only fell from €6m to €2m, due to profit from player sales rising €26m to €47m.
