🚨Femi Fact Checks #PMQ 🚨

What does Boris #Johnson lie about this week?

❌ Being on the side of working people
❌ Protecting British jobs
❌Getting it right in the pandemic

Forensic @Femi_Sorry strikes again 🙌🙏
And Johnson said in PMQs yesterday: "The chancellor who protected the economy, who protected jobs..." 🤔

.@BorisJohnson notably ducking @Keir_Starmer #PMQ about how many extra hours a single parent would have to work to make up Uni Credit cut.

Wonder why he's not repeating No10 defence that @theresecoffey was referring to those on Work Allowance [ie parents] before taper kicks in?
One issue that this whole UniCredit/extra hours controversy puts front and centre is that many on Uni Credit *do* work.
Interesting that @BorisJohnson response includes attack line that Labour wants "uncontrolled immigration"

“I’m afraid the Right Honourable gentleman is in ignorance of the facts!”

PM @BorisJohnson’s strategy at #PMQs has been to go on the offensive.

The only trouble is that the facts & figures quoted by @Keir_Starmer are from govt documents & from the head of Public Health England.
The PM seems very bullish about the govt success in throwing a “protective ring” around care homes but @MattHancock looks less confident.

Body language experts agree that the “false tie adjust” is performed at times of discomfort, fear, worry or vulnerability. #PMQs #PMQ #COVID

Susan Mckinney who runs 14 care homes:

“We had incident on April 10 where twice we rang hospital saying ‘we can’t accept this person back, we need them tested we need a negative test so we know what we’re dealing with. They turned up in ambulance and refused to go away.

There was stand-off. Family members turned up, paramedics had poor resident on a stretcher at the door and wouldn’t go away until we allowed them in. And all we got was ‘you’re not following the guidelines’

We were threatened with the police if we did not let this person in.”
Care home managers were kept on the dark:

“Privately PHE was showing ministers data they had collected highlighting rapidly growing number of COVID outbreaks in care homes, data they had been collecting since early March.”

File on 4 has discovered PHE had identified over ...

It’s early in the season & your team are having an awful start.

No decent signings over the summer, injuries stacking up & confusion on & off the pitch.

You have a new manager who keeps saying everything will be just fine. And you want to believe him.👇
👆Things are going from bad to worse

Painful to watch

Leaking goals at the back

No creativity up front

Baffling team selection

Incomprehensible tactics & formation

Fans getting restless

Hopefully we’ll sign some top players in the transfer window.👇
👆The transfer window comes & goes with no signings

Then reports from the dressing room reveal that the players don’t EVEN have the proper kit

Frustration is building with the manager, but he injures himself on the training ground & ends up in hospital.👇

#PMQ made me look at the difference between test capacity and actual tests in Germany. The last report of the @rki_de I could find was from 15 April. It reported that in week 15 of the year, Germany’s test capacity was 730,156 tests/week. 360,139 tests were made.
Germany also seems to get into the business of setting ambitious targets of doubtful realism. The press reports that there are plans to expand test capacity to “up to” 4.5 million per week. sueddeutsche.de/politik/corona…
