This study is a continuation of work I began last year creating a record and analysis of the Our Flag fandom as it evolves over time. I presented my findings on the first six months of the fandom at a pop culture conference in October and at ECCC in March!

Izzy limps his way back to his cabin, shoulders slumped and face drawn. On any ordinary day, he would be more careful. Watching his back and showing no weakness. But the day weighs on him like a hundred tonnes, and he can’t be bothered to care if he gets stabbed in the back.
His trek back to his bunk is plagued by melancholy thoughts and regrets. He should have done better. He should have worked harder, stayed quiet, and waited for his captains to deem him worthy of a salary.

Izzy was exhausted. Beyond exhausted, truly. His legs threatened to buckle out from under him with every step and his brow was coated in a sheen of sweat from all of his efforts, but to him the pain was well worth the reward.
Stede had been on a generosity kick as of late. That morning he had emerged on deck with a spring in his step and Edward by his side with an announcement for the crew.

He sits in the same corner each time. All black curls, and leather jackets, and a grumpy expression.
Most of the time, The Boy reads. Sometimes he skims through the pages of a book while he listens to some music with his walkman, tapping the rhythm with his fingers on the table

One time during school break, Stede arrived at 6:55 AM, just to see how early the boy got there. His plan backfired, becuse the boy was waiting at the door for it to open.
The Boy looked up, said "Hi." with an unreadable expression, to which Stede responded with "Thank you!"

PREMISE: When Stede Bonnet's marriage falls apart, he throws caution to the wind and follow a yearning to be a cabaret MC. Only, he's not quite ready to tell his family. What's a man to do? Well, lie and say he's invested in real estate on the other of the world, that's what!
Meanwhile, in The Queen Anne, a jaded burlesque veteran and MC is feeling stuck in a bit of a rut. But maybe things'll turn around when some new competition moves into a bar up the road? Either way, can't get much worse, can it?
