I attended the meeting with the Directors of the IISc/IITs/IIITs/IISERs along with Minister of State for Education Shri @SanjayDhotreMP Ji and Secretary, Higher Education Ministry of Education Shri Amit Khare Ji.
I want to appreciate the positive thinking and positive reactions given by the institutes during this crucial time. It is an effort led by the Institutes of National Importance which will help in creating a positive sentiment in the society.
From the development of ‘Corosure’ testing kits, ‘COVIRAP’ for diagnostics to the development of oxygen concentrators and low-cost RT-PCR machines, it is notable to mention that many of the research products have been commercialised through the Incubation Cells and Startups.
Taking a leap towards strengthening the vocational education ecosystem in J&K; the Lt Governor @manojsinha_ e-inaugurates 607 Vocational Labs under #SamagraShiksha; launches Vocational Education Portal and GIS Portal.
Emphasis on #VocationalEducation, as per #NEP2020, is to enable students to be Job providers instead of Job Seekers. Important features of #NewEducationalPolicy have been initiated in J&K which will pave a strong foundation for #JobOrientedEducation for the youth: LG
Compact and comprehensive measures are being taken with an aim to improve the quality of education and securing the future of youth by bridging the gap between schools and industry keeping in view the changing trends of job-market demand, says the Lt Governor
While applying for JEE(mains), candidates have to select any four cities of their choice. The efforts will be made to allot the city of examination to the candidates in order of choice opted by them in their online Application Form.
However, due to administrative/logistic reasons, a different city can be allotted.
Candidates who apply for more than one Session of the JEE Mains exam can change their choice of cities in the correction window, which will be opened in due course under intimation to them through a public notice for each session.

The new regulatory system envisioned by #NEP will foster an overall culture of empowerment and autonomy to innovate, by gradually phasing out the system of ‘affiliated colleges’ over a period of 15 years through a system of graded autonomy.

Each existing affiliating university will be responsible for mentoring its affiliated colleges so that they can achieve minimum benchmarks in academic & curricular matters; teaching & assessment; governance reforms; financial robustness; & administrative efficiency.
