In the fight for our liberation, we must always choose our own heroes. Accepting that we canât change what happened to Jordan is hard, but it helps to know that we have the power to shape how his story is told.

It is our privilege and responsibility to share both how much Jordanâs life meant to his family and friends and what his death now means for our community.
Jordanâs death was, and will always be, a call to action.

It was in Jordanâs name that we delivered hundreds of meals, distributed reparations to dozens of Black families, & housed folx who had no place to go during the winter storm. Jordanâs Place became a space of Black beauty, Black autonomy, & Black community.

What value does deciphering the whole genome hold for guiding clinical care of children with high-risk cancer? LOTS. Does it provide more accurate diagnoses, more treatment options, better risk stratification? YES. Can it be done fast enough to have a clinical impact? YES. /3
In our @LancetMicrobe paper we report 671 Mtb genomes đ§Źfrom 391 patients with drug #resistant #tuberculosis in KwaZulu-Natal South Africa sampled over 6 years.

We found ~4% of patients harboured #Mtb with variants in genes known to mediate #resistance to bedaquiline/clofazimine.
