Mir sind hier in der kurzen Zeit seit der Rückkehr zahllos viele auch junge Menschen begegnet, die massiv unter Long Covid/CFS und auch ME/CFS leiden, regelrecht aus dem Leben gerissen wurden.

2/1 Das sind nicht nur Betroffene, das sind immer auch Menschen, deren Lebensträume regelrecht explodiert sind. In der schlimmsten Pandemiezeit 20/21... und teils auch 22 haben wir in der MedBubble das hier ganz oft gesehen:
3/1 Die Pandemie ist noch lange nicht vorbei. Täglich sind neue Meldungen zu neuen Mutationen zu finden. Verständlich, das ist die Natur von Viren, sich reproduzieren und anpassen an neue Begebenheiten.
1/1 Wird langsam Zeit für einen Servicetweet zu Arcturus, eine der neuen SARS-CoV-2 Mutationen aus dem XBB Stamm, genau Bezeichnung XBB.1.16. Die Mutation breitet sich aktuell in Indien rasant aus, wo auch bereits die Delta Variante ihren Ursprung hatte.
2/1 Zunächst vorsichtig und verhalten, glaube ich zwischenzeitlich, Arcturus hat das Potential, sich ähnlich rasant über die gesamte Welt zu verbreiten wie seinerzeit die Delta Variante. Hierzu im Verlauf des Threads auch einige Infos.
3/1 vor einigen Tagen wurde bekannt, dass Arcturus in Indien zu einer um 281% gestiegenen täglichen Infektionszahl mit den entsprechenden Auswirkungen führte:

We underlined 15 March has been chosen by patients for patients to advocate for #LongCovidAwareness. We remembered Long Covid has been a term and a concept defined by patients from early 2020. We remembered the WHO recognized Long Covid in August 2020, and Italy in 2021
We underlined we have now a lot of scientific data on acute and #LongCovid (see PubMed). We noted Covid and Long Covid can basically hit all organs and body systems. We underlined the relapsing-remitting, sometimes progressive, and at times subclinical pathology in Long Covid

By October of last year I was doing a bit better physically but my mental health was plummeting. I had lost a great deal of weight because I could hardly eat and drink. I couldn't work, I couldn't see loved ones or leave my home. My world was crumbling from the trauma of it all
In October I also spent time back home with my sister. Unfortunately the night before I left she caught COVID again. The thought I may catch it again mentally sent my body into a complete breakdown.
March 16, 2020. For some reason I took this photo. Odd bc I hate selfies. Next morning fell getting out of bed unable to breathe. Months later so ill my son had to leave & live with his mom.

I debated posting this reminder all day long. It's not a pleasant one. Wrote two books about this hell on Earth; I'd rather not be reminded of it at all. But I am every time I wake up and I can't move like my legs are stuck in quicksand.

No, I was not vaccinated. My course of illness was very mild, with nothing more than a few sniffles for about 4-5 days. My symptoms went away then came back 100x worse, and never left. I was a previously healthy student-athlete with 0 pre-existing conditions. /2
I was on the varsity T&F and Cross country teams. I was in better shape than 90% of America, having to run anywhere from 5-10 miles a day. Not to mention being in the gym strength training. I didn't have the best diet but it wasn't the worst either. /3

Ein Schüler steckte mich 2020 an, am 2. Tag nach der Quarantäne brach ich ohnmächtig vor meiner Klasse zusammen. Seitdem wurde ich über 500x ohnmächtig, bin ans Bett gefesselt, kann nur 4 Lebensmittel ohne Anaphylaxis essen #LongCovid #POTS #MCAS #MECFS #LongCovidAwarenessDay
2) bis heute läuft der Antrag auf Berufserkrankung und meine finanzielle, sowie pflegerische Absicherung sind als Alleinerziehende ungeklärt. #LongCovid nahm mir mein Leben, meine Arbeit, meine Hobbies und am schlimmsten, die Fähigkeit aktiv Mama sein zu können.
