We have now formally lodged appeal grounds in the posthumous appeal for #Lockerbie bombing of Flight PanAm 103- where Al-Megrahi was convicted of the worst terror attack in the UK killing 270 people over 31 years ago- The appeal grounds are “substantial” #LockerbieAppeal
If the appeal is sucessful it will mean that the UK & USA stand accused of living a monumental lie for over 31 years, imprisoning a man they knew to be innocent & punishing the Libyan people
Powerful forces have operated to obstruct the search for truth, but I am grateful to Dr Jim Swire, Rev Mosey, @rblackqc & the family of the late Al- Megrahi for never giving up in the fight for justice & truth
A reminder that the University where this professor claims to be a professor of oncology, says that he is not. Not only is he disowned by the University he claims to represent, he is disowned by most of the medical profession.

That this appeal was allowed & not underlying conviction, reflects travesty of justice undermining Scottish legal system. Evidence demonstrated al-Megrahi's guilt. Even if some circumstantial, typical in most criminal cases & was not unreasonable finding.

Today's 31st memorial ceremony at @ArlingtonNatl for #PanAm103 families featured remarks by #AttorneyGeneralBarr, who as AG in 1991 led @TheJusticeDept to indict two Libyans for terrorist bombing. 
The playing of Taps in memory of the 270 victims (189 Americans) who were murdered by #Libya 31 years ago today was particularly somber. #PanAm103/#Lockerbie
