#OneYearAgoToday we provided live coverage from a massive direct action by Indigenous water protectors and their allies at Enbridge's #Line3 Two Inlets pump station in Hubbard County, MN.
500+ people took over the station from 8 a.m. to past sundown, some remaining locked down to a "Good Trouble" boat overnight during a thunderstorm to continue to blockade the station's access road.
Around noon on June 7, 2021, a helicopter from the Department of Homeland Security flew dangerously low over the crowd, sometimes just 20 feet above the ground, kicking up dust and debris.

Enbridge Inc., the Canadian-based energy giant, announced yesterday that their new #Line3 tar sands pipeline was complete and that oil is expected to flow through it tomorrow.
In their press release, Enbridge states that "its completion ensures a safe, reliable supply of North American crude oil to U.S. refineries," which is evocative to their arguments in appeals court defending one of their approved permits.
Instead of showing any proof that forecast the public’s need for more crude oil products, in the appeal hearing against the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission, Enbridge focused on how there is enough crude being produced in Canada from tar sands to ship it through the line.

Des Moines, IA –On Wednesday Federal Judge Rebecca Goodgame Ebinger sentenced Jessica Reznicek to 8 years in prison, followed by 3 years supervised probation, and a restitution of $3,198,512.70 paid to Energy Transfer LLC for the actions she took in 2016 to stop the #DAPL.
