Under the staggered admissions process, individuals who have been waiting the longest in MPP would be prioritized for readmission, along with vulnerable individuals who cannot wait any longer. We believe this is the most fair way to address operational challenges.

"On August 3 my brother Osman called me from #Libya. He said he would leave for Europe at night in a small boat with 25 other refugees. The boat did not make a very good impression on him but he really could not stay in Libya any longer. That was the last time I spoke with him."
"I was more and more desperate, because I feared he had drowned or had been taken to an detention center by the so-called Libyan coast guard. Then on August 20, I finally received a photo of him. It confirmed that Osman was brought on the vessel #Etienne. My brother is alive!"
After 10 hrs waiting at POE yesterday, our family of 5 clients had no choice but to leave and try again today. They returned to POE and are going on 2+ hrs waiting. @CBP is STILL REFUSING THEM A NRI TO SAVE THEIR SON FROM ABDUCTION. Help us demand they #LetThemIn (THREAD)
Without your help they will be forced to return and face a looming threat of family separation. All they want is safety. Tell @CBP to let this family in so they can report these abduction threats and save their son's life. The Mexican police ignored their reports. Will @CBP too?

HAPPENING NOW: Our family of 5 clients have been waiting since 8 am @ POE for a non-refoulement interview. Just yesterday other clients were processed. Their child has been threatened w/kidnapping & @CBP refuses to process them. Traveling to save one’s life is essential. (THREAD)
CBP says they will not process them b/c of Title 42. Title 42 has an exception for “essential travel”. Saving this child from abduction is essential. Our team gave notice to @CBP a week ago and continued to follow up w/no response. Meanwhile the family bakes in the sun waiting..
It shouldn't take waiting for hours @ POE, a legal team repeatedly giving notice, media reports, tweeting @CBP, or calling Congress for this child and their family be processed for a NRI. While thousands of people cross POE, a family in danger is ignored. #LetThemIn #EndMPP

The 12 asylum seekers our attorneys, advocates, and Secretary Julian Castro escorted to the Gateway International Bridge of Matamoros and Brownsville this morning have been sent back into Mexico.
Their claims to exemptions to the “Remain in Mexico” policy have been rejected by Brownsville CBP, who have broad discretion over the matter.
Apparently it’s official: #Israel to prevent the entry of @IlhanMN and @RashidaTlaib for their tour of #Palestine next week. Beyond disappointment at not being able to talk to them about #Gaza, a few thoughts.
1/ The very basic fact that Israel can prevent American congresswomen from touring the Palestinian territories is all the evidence one needs to show that Palestinians are living in a one-state reality under absolute Israeli control and sovereignty.
2/ This decision is excused using accusations of antisemitism and security. To be clear, this is about nothing other than shutting down freedom of expression and policing political opinion; only the right kind of American, with the right kind of politics, can get in.
