Your landlord can only increase the rent once per year. For example, if your landlord increases the rent in January 2021, they cannot increase the rent again until January 2022.
If your landlord decides to increase your rent within the allowable amount and you pay your rent monthly, they must give you at least three months’ notice using the proper form: Form 10 – Notice of Increase in Rent of Residential Premises.

This is hard to write but it is true for many. What I’m about to say is a harsh reality of what people go through.

What I am about to say is also the reason why a lot of people don’t ask for help.

People do not ask for help because of the fears and stigmas that exist.

Ok everyone this is serious.....the father of four that needs our help just called @HarvestHillsYYC and said that he has received his eviction notice for the end of the month.
I have been in contact with his landlord and the landlord has said to me that he would love to keep his tenants but unless he gets the rent by the end of the month....he is going to have to find other tenants who can pay rent or he has to sell his house and move out of AB
So please help this tenant and help the landlord too both keep roofs over their heads.

When we read reports of landlords harassing women in their apartments when they cannot pay their rent, we are rightly angry, disgusted and condemn this clear abuse of power. Much of #prostitution follows the same pattern: Not only the brothel operators, who think that a woman /1 Image
...in their brothel should always be accessible to them, but specficially the #sexbuyer a woman depends on to pay for such basic things as rent, food, etc. What is this other than an outsourcing of the dynamic between the #landlord who gets access to a tenant to the sexbuyer? /2
Either way, the woman is pressed for financial reasons to let a man get close to her with whom she does not want to be intimate.

Now many people will say that this is the case throughout #capitalism and many people do jobs they would rather not do. There is no question that /3
