What goes around, comes around. Bad behaviour meted out to greats like Kumble, Ashwin, Pujara is not easily forgotten. With Ravi Shastri always toeing his line, Kohli had become a megalomaniac. The game is more important than any individual's hyper-inflated ego.
Besides #Kohli didn't do himself any favours by not scoring an international ton in over 2 years and not winning any ICC Trophies. The short line he gives to other team mates, applies to him too. It makes to have same captain for both white ball formats.
He has his opportunity to go out on his own terms as ODI captain, like he did in T20 captain. He chose his own method of exit - sacking. Kohli fanboys/fangirls can cry their eyes out but this situation is Kohli's own making. Dhoni won 3 ICC trophies but didn't threw tantrums.
