26 year old "Gordy" was born and raised in Issaquah, Washington and lived in Costa Mesa, California before moving to Jeffersonville Indiana. Most of what we know of Gordy comes from his neo-Nazi instagram where he uses the screenname "Gabb3r".

Gordy's Instagram shows the chilling journey of his radicalization and movement through several white supremacist groups. Unfortunately for Gordy, he also left various remements of his pre-Nazi life, such as pictures/interactions with friends, that allowed us to identify him.

Relaxed atmosphere at todayās #BlackLivesMatter protest in Hyde Park. Slightly contentious moment though when the compere hushed a āfuck Borisā chant, arguing we shouldnāt be directing hostile chants towards someone to whom weāre appealing for political change.
This points to the question every social movement has to confront: whatās the agency that can deliver the change we want, what leverage do we have over it, and how can we use that leverage to force the change?
The #JUNETEENTH2020 strikes in the USA, and historic struggles like the 1968 Memphis sanitation workersā strike, show how organised labour can be a strategic anti-racist actor, connecting workplace struggles to wider social struggles for equality.

First up, Jerry Lawson.
He pioneered the video game cartridge for the Fairchild Channel F system, the first gaming console that utilized interchangeable cartridges back in the 70s. It never saw the popularity like the Atari VCS or the NES but, its influence is undeniable.

The Civil War was over, Lee had surrendered at Appomattox and the defeated Confederates retreated back home to their farms and their plantations, knowing that they had lost and that the reason for the war, African American slavery, had come to an end.
But once back home, knowing their world had changed, did the white slave masters release their black slaves and wish them good luck? Or even try to negotiate a paid position for the men and women who fed them, provided their living and took care of their children?
Today is Juneteenth, emancipation day. Happy Jubilee Day to everyone! Happy Emancipation Day.

We celebrate this day as a community because it sparked one of the biggest changes to the lives of ALL Americans. Finally, black people across the Country were free. Though the changes were not immediate, and we still fight for equal rights, it was the first true beginning.
It led us to the right to vote, the right to a full education, and the right to marry who we love.
Today, we celebrate. This is a day of reflection, education and solidarity. We educate our children and show them why we have hope. Hope for unity.

1/x On this Juneteeth day, I want to step back a moment and talk briefly about, not the day itself, but how close we came to that day never coming to pass when it did. #HappyJuneteenth #JUNETEENTH2020
2/x From 1850 to 1861, there were about 150 proposals for a 13th Amendment that would have made it unconstitutional to abolish slavery. In other words, while the post-war 13th Amendment abolished slavery, the pre-war versions would have done the opposite.
3/x That 150 number is not a typo. Those in favor of slavery tried really, really, really hard to write it more explicitly into the Constitution. The fact that they didnāt succeed was not for a lack of trying and they almost succeeded.
