Q. What is an advance tax?
In simple term paying taxes in "Installments" rather than in lump sum while filing ITR. Tax amount paid before 31st March of respective FY is considered as an advance tax.

Finance Act, 2021 inserted a new Section 194P to provide relief to a senior citizen who is 75 years or more from the burden of filing of return of income.
It provides that if TDS has been deducted u/s 194P, then such senior citizen shall be exempted from filing Income Tax Return

The amount of tax salaried class pays after getting screwd throughout the year, it feels that we only work to pay taxes. There's no social security, no health benefits. Govt has been increasing taxes on all possible investment vehicles. Even insurance attracts 18% tax

There has been 100% inflation over the last 2 decades in India. Commensurate with it people's salaries have also grown, but there is no increase in 80C deduction limit. India's savings rate is coming down for a reason. People can't save money, and govt is digging...
digging a grave for itself by reducing people' saving capacity. As Indians grow old ( without social security) they will be poorer in their old age and become liability for country.

How to reset Income Tax e Filing password without efiling/Aadhar OTP? - A Thread
Taxpayer who file ITR on last days, mostly forget their password and in many cases the email id and mobile number are not updated, Nor Aadhaar OTP is linked.

To reset password without e-filing OTP (if registered mobile has changed)/Aadhaar OTP (if Mobile is not linked to Aadhaar or if Aadhaar is not linked to PAN), user can reset password using a valid DSC or can login in directly through Internet Banking into E-filing account
In case all these above options do not work or are not available, taxpayer can send request to efilingwebmanager@incometax.gov.in by attaching and sharing following details with the request email:

1. Do check AIS (Annual Information Statement) & TIS (Tax Information Summary)
Both available on income tax portal under services tab.
Please note there might be errors in figures reported in those statements but you can submit appropriate feedback if showing wrong details.

2. Choosing of correct ITR Form is the most important thing.
If you choose wrong ITR form your ITR will be considered defective. This will lead to invalidate your ITR if response not submitted in due time.
Invalid ITR is as good as you have not filed ITR.
