This is the first email they sent back. I was in a state of shock when it showed up in my inbox. Once I came back down to earth I needed to figure out how to get from LA to Louisiana to fill out the necessary paper work.
Change that: After my second viewing, #GodzillaVsKong is a fun fucking movie.
Everything felt so fast with my first viewing so I needed another watch.
Kong Crew actually wasn’t that bad. Though it’s weird how they were 100% right about tracking the energy.

The #Godzilla crew are the weakest of the human characters. Though I didn’t hate them this time around. Comedy relief. I like the thought of a Conspiracy nut trying to figure out the truth.
Ren Serizawa was really disappointing. He should’ve had played a bigger role, stronger motives.
Walter Simmons was generic but had reasonable motives: He wants humans to be the “Apex” of the world again but that doesn’t follow suit with this universe. We co-exist with Godzilla.

Godzilla (1998). L'inévitable étape.
Premier film 100% US qui se montre maladroit et indécis sur bien des points pour aborder le mythe. L'influence de Jurassik Park est (trop) palpable, les codes de Godzilla ne sont pas "respectés"...

Parce qu'au delà de la question de la "fidélité", difficile de nier un film de monstre parfois solide, avec plusieurs fulgurances de réal' et autres idées bien senties. La CGI s'en sort honnêtement (21 ans !) et la gestion du rythme, des apparitions du monstre sont maîtrisées.

HILO: Hoy quiero hablaros sobre el rey de los kaijû, icono de la cultura japonesa moderna: el dinosaurio nuclear #Godzilla. Prometo opiniones completamente personales y spoilers de tipo general.
Los japoneses escriben y pronuncian su nombre como "gojira" (ゴジラ). Viene de un juego de palabras entre "gorira" (gorila) y kujira (ballena). En el alfabeto romano se escribe "Godzilla". Los propios japoneses lo escriben así cuando aparece su nombre con nuestras letras.
Godzilla es lo que conocemos como un "kaijû", que no es un término inventado para Pacific Rim (2013), sino que da nombre propio a su género de cine. Traducido literalmente sería algo así como "bestia misteriosa".
