Anytime someone tells them they are cute, welcome the compliment but also add to the conversation "and I am smart too." We want them to feel and know their value beyond superficial things...substance that has been developed through effort.

I’ve been in LA all week covering this tragedy but just now got a chance to get to Staples Center. In the early morning hours, this hits harder in the silence. The memorials people left behind hold a collective power.
So many messages of love not just a for a player but for a father.
