Patterns of policy convergence and divergence look very different on socio-economic and other issues, as shown by this summary of emblematic positions I have taken from party manifestos. 
While the FDP's economic and social policy is closer to the CDU, the party shares multiple stances with the Greens (and SPD) in other matters.

This is effectively too close to call, and leaves open the crucial question of who will come first and have the 1st mandate to try to form a government.

Though this would suggest that CDU/CSU has done a little better than some polls suggested, it’s still a significant reduction on their 2017 performance of 33% (and way down on 2013 of 41.5%). SPD are down a touch but basically static. AfD down and Greens up.
Different exit poll SPD slightly ahead. Either way looks like worst CDU/CSU performance since 1949.

The Scottish Parliament has 129 seats in total.
73 of these are single-member districts where the candidate with the most vote wins.
The other 56 are list seats designed to reduce the inherent disproportionality of the FPTP element.
Voters get one ballot for each.

Scotland is divided into 8 electoral regions with each region providing 7 list MSPs, meaning that everyone in Scotland is represented by 8 MSPs.

Important reporting by @emilyrs in the run up to the #GermanElection2021. There is no reason to question the integrity of Germany's upcoming election and this piece does a nice job addressing why. A few additional thoughts. 🧵
1/Any method of voting carries risks -- whether its mail-in voting or in-person voting -- that election officials must manage. Risks to mail-in voting can be managed through various policies, procedures, and controls, many of which Germany already has.
2/Many countries, including Germany, have run successful elections during #COVID19, in part, by expanding the # of ways voters can vote. Doing this doesn't only make it safer for voters; it can also make the voting process more accessible, easier to administer and more secure.
