A year ago, the Russians had completely occupied Mariupol and imprisoned over 2000 Ukraine's defenders, who agreed to surrender from πΊπ¦ fortress Azovstal. Despite the exchanges, some of them are still in terrible Russian captivity, out of sight of int orgs. 
Through these 365 days, Russian propaganda used them to the maximum to demonize or belittle πΊπ¦ and our armed forces. The prisoners were forced to engage in videos confirming they live in good conditions or pronouncing propagandistic statements to undermine the morale of πΊπ¦.
π·πΊ states the prisoners are treated "in accordance with int standards,β but it's a lie. Ignoring the tortures & killings π·πΊ commits, the 3d Geneva Convention prohibits public displays of prisoners of war. Using POWs in propaganda is illegal and = torture. #freeazovstaldefenders
