Heartfelt — if overdue — thanks to @WBurgessTDSB School Council for its assistance with the purchase of #FNMI flags for the school library. ->
The intention here is to create a permanent, indigenized space in the library — a reminder that knowledge has been preserved and shared on this land for 15,000 years. #ETFO ->
First Nations organizations were consulted about the appropriateness of placing these flags here. Flags on display include those found at Takaronto City Hall, plus the flags of Nunavut and The Assembly of First Nations. ->
Sprucing up the library at @WBurgessTDSB for the 2019/20 school year. A splash of white paint on the bulletin board in the the cabinet will enhance our displays.
