Hi @elonmusk, we hear you want hardcore video engineering at Twitter 2.0. At FFmpeg we've been doing hardcore video programming for decades (high performance hand written assembly etc.) Get in touch if you want to talk!
@elonmusk Errr...this tweet blew up (thanks @ID_AA_Carmack!).

FFmpeg and affiliated projects like @videolan are open source projects with many technical challenges at the cutting edge of video.

To anyone interested, check out the code: source.ffmpeg.org (in C of course)
And join #ffmpeg-devel on Libera IRC (yes we still use IRC as our main form of communication). There are always people who can answer questions 24/7.

We don't care about your background, we have had high school students writing assembly.

gyan.dev/ffmpeg/builds/
qui vous permettra d'accéder au dépôt Github du développeur :
github.com/GyanD/codexffm…
On télécharge ffmpeg-5.0.1-full_build.zip

A long blog post in which I:

- explain how to turn a sequence of images (maps, but could be anything) into a video, as in the example here

- give away all sorts of trade secrets

- share some image sets to play with

- provide lots of example commands

I cover installation of #ffmpeg on Mac (easy), Linux (easy) and Windows (easy, but can seem horrendously complex for new users) and ...
I also try to break things down into chunks so that they make sense to the new user - and then you can have all sorts of fun with animating the map files I provided

After a lot of fretting for years, I've decided to give blogging a go.

Check out this post to learn how to write a simple #PowerShell cmdlet that easily lets you log in/out of your user accounts. Not very efficient, but a helpful use-case for beginners.

A little Cairngorms flyover, just for fun, with music #aerialod #ffmpeg (I also put a locator map in the top right)
method: Aerialod to create the tiles, ffmpeg to stitch them together and add the little map overlay (made in QGIS), title in Kdenlive, data from @OrdnanceSurvey, and landscape by glaciation
@OrdnanceSurvey command to patch together the c. 1,400 frames exported from Aerialod: ffmpeg -r 40 -i #####_%03d.png -c:v libx264 -s 1920x1080 -r 40 -pix_fmt yuv420p output_file_name.mp4

Then a couple more commands to add the music and the overlay inset map - gradually getting to grips with it
