FEC just ended. #FECbrief ongoing. HM @ProfIsaPantami announces approval of two @NgComCommission Memos, for provision of free broadband to 20 Nigerian airports across 6 geopolitical zones, 43 higher institutions (18 approved earlier), and 6 market/SME hubs.
For @FMWHNIG: FEC Approval for Dualization of Akure—Ado Ekiti Road, in two sections (Ondo section and Ekiti section), completion period of 24 & 30 months.

(Recall that the Road is in the latest batch of those to be financed by @nnpclimited under #ExecOrder7)

Project commissionings I’m looking forward to:

Completed:
Second Niger Bridge
Loko-Oweto Bridge
700MW Zungeru Hydro Plant
40MW Kashimbila Hydro Plant

Almost completed:
Lagos-Ibadan Exp
Apapa-Oshodi-Oworo Exp

In progress:
AKK Gas Pipeline
Abuja-Kano
Bodo-Bonny
Abuja-Makurdi
This is exactly what @MBuhari has also been doing over the last couple of years, with #PIDFund #PPInigeria #ExecOrder7 #SukukBond #RailUPng etc etc
The list above is of course not an exclusive one. Not to talk of all the major projects already completed & commissioned—like the billion-dollar Lekki Deep Sea Port, 3 Inland Dry Ports, Lagos-Ibadan & Itakpe-Warri SGR, ~$20m NSIA healthcare investments (Lagos, Kano, Umuahia), etc

So what you're 'saying' - but don't have the liver to say - is that @PeterObi will scrap @TETFundNg. Why not say it boldly?

Also, I hope you know that scrapping TETFUND will not be by mouth o. NASS will have to pass a Bill repealing the 2011 Act. Did you know this?

Did you also know that companies like MTN are actually already spending substantial sums of money supporting Nigerian Universities, even as CSR. In addition to the 2.5% Tertiary Education Tax they're mandatorily paying
See examples
MTN e-Library to OAU: businessday.ng/news/article/m…
Have you heard of @nigeriaLNG's multi-million-dollar University Support Programme?

So what happens to TETFUND? Are you guys aware MTN & Co already pay special tax(EDT) to finance the same tertiary institutions you're citing--2.5% of assessable profit, annually? So you're simply moving same money around & pretending you're being original?? firs.gov.ng/tertiary-educa…
Meanwhile, the really impactful - and original - Tax Credit scheme is the one the @MBuhari Administration is doing for Road Infrastructure. Has got robust governance mechanism in place. Same MTN recently got approval to complete Onitsha-Enugu Exp with it. Check out #ExecOrder7.
Problem with you & your party is the wilful ignorance that you display towards publicly available info. If you knew about TETFUND & #ExecOrder7 I don't think you'd be here trying to pass off harebrained ideas as revolutionary. Stop pretending to be asleep, so we can wake you up!

#StateHouseBriefing has kicked off.

Two 1967 laws governed the Nigerian Petroleum Industry, for decades, until PMB assented to the PIA in August 2021. No substantial change in those laws since 1967, says @MKKyari

Watch live:
“I believe that by the middle of next year, @nnpclimited will be IPO-ready.” — @MKKyari

“Our vision is to be the dynamic global energy company of choice.”

#StateHouseBriefing
.@MKKyari: We are restoring the refineries, to at least 90% of installed capacity. We will have an O&M contract, we will not run the refineries ourselves. We will hand over the restored refineries to O&M contractors to run. This is what we failed to do in the last 43 years.

Will share highlights from this new presentation, delivered yesterday in Kano, by @tundefashola, at the 28th Meeting of the National Council on Works.

(As far as memorable phrases go, he's a champ. "Incremental Power", and now "Season of Completion")
One of the biggest changes PMB has brought to road #infrastructure in Nigeria is in the area of financing. A lot more financing available for roads, highways, bridges under PMB than prev govts (even when oil prices were $100-avg for years). #PIDFund #Sukuk #ExecOrder7
In 2015, outgoing govt budget 18 billion for all the Federal roads in Nigeria - less than even Lagos' roads budget for the year

In 2016, with an even lower avg oil price, new Govt budgeted 260B, & released 198B = 76%

2020, inside Covid, 227B budgeted for roads, 100% released!
