Are @jidesanwoolu directives being enforced by @followlasg? How effective is public adherence to #COVID19 regulations and is @NCDCgov effectively building itself as a credible govt agency ?

Are govt MDA at the Fed, State & LG levels observing these protocols.

Stopped at Domino's pizza #ikorodu to get pizza for my in-laws. Made use of the app so I only had to pick up. Got in to pick up and there was a crowd at there and at #Coldstone.

If the govt believes that #COVID19 is serious then why is it slack with enforcing it's protocol.
On my way to Ikorodu almost all the BRT's had 3 - 10% of commuters using their nose mask. In smaller buses almost no one wore nose mask. No @PoliceNG or @followlastma officer wore a nose mask.

I think private establishments enforce some of these regulation better than the govt

I really think we need to focus on building national consciousness in every sphere. From schools, especially primary and secondary, to religious groups, media houses, film makers etc. 1/

As we seek to build political consciousness, we should focus even more on building a national consciousness among the people. A nationally conscious people are more inclined to be politically conscious; 2/
History should be taught, as unbiased as possible, from childhood by teachers, parents, uncles, aunties, etc. Just 10 minutes a day would go a long way. Tell the stories. 3/

URGENT CORRECTION: Brig. Gen. FRANCIS OMATA: THE HERO, NOT THE VILLAIN!

Brig. Gen. FRANCIS OMATA, Lagos Garrison, was at home when people started calling him that soldiers were at the Toll gate shooting.
He rushed to the scene and arrived about 39 mins after.
Shouting loudly, identifying himself to avoid “friendly fire”, he immediately moved to pull back the soldiers, who were from 65 Battalion Bonny camp, led by their commanding officer, one Lt Col S. O. Bello.
Lt Col Bello & his men are still writing reports as authorities
want to know who authorised this military action.
Pls IMMEDIATELY spread this. GEN. OMATA IS A HERO, NOT A KILLER! He deserves a medal, not condemnation! Don’t let an innocent man suffer for doing good! Already, even photos of his family are in circulation!

A TRIBUTE TO OUR FALLEN HEROES AND HEROINES!!!

20-10-20:

A day we were shown that democracy only exists on paper.

A day Nigeria killed her own people.

A day we were shown that our lives mean nothing.

A day we were killed for asking for bare minimum.

A day we were shown that having power surpasses doing the right thing.

A day we were shown that people have to die to achieve our rights to live and thrive.

A day that will forever live in our hearts.

For the past few days, we have protested against police brut
In 2004, before the proliferation of smartphones that made the internet ubiquitous, if you wanted to browse, you had to go to a cybercafe. Late that year, a childhood friend of mine was leaving Umuahia for Port Harcourt. #EndSARS #EndPoliceBrutalityinNigeria #SARSMUSTEND
None of us had a phone then, so we agonized at the prospect of being cut off from each other. After a while, we hit on a bright idea; since I had an email and could browse, I could show him how to open and use an email. #EndSARS #EndPoliceBrutalityinNigeria #SARSMUSTEND

Dear Politicians, I am sure you have seen the coordination of the protest, not prefect but it has a resemblance of a working society.

Emergency health care is available, lawyers are working round the clock, entrepreneurs are fixing problems and assisting, there is water, food,
mobile toilet, media, entertainment, church service on Sunday, I am sure our Muslim brothers and sisters pray too, there are even people responsible for discipline to ensure everyone behaves well, any unruly protester is disciplined and sent home for the day.
You can also see that the leaders are not the richest or highest paid, but they wield immense power and influence over the people, and are doing well in their chosen life and career path.

If there is anything I have learnt from this movement, it is the fact that the majority of the adults in Nigeria have a warped perception about the Nigerian youths (1/10)
#EndSARS #EndBadGovernanceinNIGERIA
The silence from “their” corner is so loud, it is safe to deduce that they “indirectly” support SARS as they saw majority of the youths as riff-raffs! (2/10)

Dear Nigerian adults, the youths are perceived to be “riff-raffs” because of the environment they inherited from you! (3/10)

Energy levels are obviously dropping everywhere. As expected

Let's try this:
1. A different group of spokesperson every meeting with the Government.

The meetings are virtual and broadcasted everywhere via zoom or IG live.

That way nobody pushes their personal agenda forward
2. Before each meeting, we push our agenda forward on twitter and ensure the agenda is what these spokesperson for the meeting stick to.

3a No diplomacy on the part of the spokesperson. None at all. Dont play smart while talking. Say it as it is. Either they listen to us or not
3b. Anything other than what we sent you to do, and you will be dragged like removed as a spokesperson for the next meeting with the Government.
No strategy, we move like a moving train till our demands are met.

Strategy requires time, we don't have time.

Open Letter to the Nigeria Police Force and Army Force

Dear Nigeria Police / SARS

Please permit me to exhaust just 6minutes of your time, let me tell you a little truth your Dogs owner (Government, Elites & Ruling class) don’t want you to know about.
you are just another civilian enjoying a temporary abysmal breeze in your black uniform and khaki uniform, you are just another civilian lacking adequate health care facility, you are just like other civilian lacking basic amenities and infrastructure,
you are just an ordinary civilian with a mortgaged future, with the present Nigeria predicament you obviously don’t have a future, you all are living delusional and irritating life, it’s the right time for you to wake up from your slumber & use your intellect before it’s too late
