An earning worth millions!

Today while walking towards Jalgaon, one gentleman walked towards me. He was in hurry as it was little rain happening.

He came to me and asked “aap kal Mukti school mein gaye wahi sahab ho kya?” (Are you the person who went to Mukti school yesterday).
I said Yes.

He took something out of his pocket and said “my child told me about you and I drive a pool taxi service. This is for your cause and please have some food with this. I will surely donate blood someday.”

And he handed over this Rs.100 note to me and
rushed to his jeep where passangers were waiting across the road.

Before, I couldn’t say or react anything but he left me emotional on the road.

A school talk for 15-20 mins made such an impact ensures that whatever I am doing is going in the right direction and proves that…

From a labour to School Principal!

Throughout my walk I have met thousands of people and many out of them have had much inspiring life, I met one such person today.

Meet Mr. Ishwar Harchand Badgujar, principal of Govt School, Mukti in Dhule district.
He comes from a tribal poor family of Dhule district. In his early age, he started working as a sweeper in a factory to support his family.

It was very rare for a person in that area to study as education was hardly available nearby. But he knew the value of it,
so he decided to study in evening classes after work.

Many people suggested him to drop his education but he was firm to study.

He became first graduate in his area and that’s why he got a job of teacher in this school.

His efforts and hardwork earned him the position of

I haven’t been to any college, and after failing in 11th class I never went for formal qualification.

When I thought of taking technical education at Pusa Polytechnic, I again failed. Which made me a 10th pass person, or school dropout (sounds cool these days). ImageImageImageImage
But since childhood, I have been blessed with Gurus like Shamona Ma’am, VP Singh Sir, Madhu Ma’am, Rashmi Ma’am, Joel Sir, Indrani Ma’am and so many which can’t be named.

Today on Guru Poornima day, I got an opportunity to teach 5000+ students in Dhule district to address. ImageImage
Which included those who passed 11th class, that means I was sharing knowledge to more qualified people than me.

It happened just because there were gurus in my life who taught me beyond books and I earned wisdom which I am sharing with thousands. Image

"Just 5 more minutes? I want to make sure I get every last drop."

She knows this is my usual dance before I let them disconnect. I am usually the last patient standing in the way of my nurses heading home for the evening.

1/
We have been doing this dance my whole life - at least as far as I can remember. As a child with Thalassemia Major, my parents watched patiently as the very last drop of blood crossed the threshold into my body. And, this baton passed to me as an adult.

2/
Since I have received >500 units of blood in my lifetime, I consider myself an expert blood recipient.

More importantly, I consider myself indebted to the kindness of blood donors.

I owe a debt, a debt of life, to those who volunteered their blood for my life.

In the past 60 days, in the overwhelming backdrop of #COVID19 there may have been a tendency to forget that standard medical emergencies are still a part our daily lives, there are hundreds who are undergoing surgeries and require blood transfusions. (1/N)
The lock-down protocols combined with the risk & fear of virus transmissions, volunteer blood donations have been at an all time low. Blood banks had been struggling. I was deeply concerned about it's ramifications until I visited #BloodDonation Camp organised at Ruby Hall. (2/5)
I was pleasantly surprised & heartened to see volunteer citizens respond to the Govt's call and #donateblood in large numbers at camps organised by "Dr. Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan" at Ruby Hall Clinic, Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital and Sassoon General Hospital. (3/5)

PLEASE🙏🏽...take a moment for a short thread👇🏽

Talia Joy Castellano died six years ago today.

I had been following this remarkable young lady after seeing her on @TheEllenShow. Talia was a 13 year-old who was wise beyond her years, perhaps because she would have so few of them.
@COVERGIRL made Talia an honorary Cover Girl after seeing her makeup tip videos on @YouTube. Talia was naturally beautiful, but her inner beauty surpassed even her physical appearance. There is no way of knowing just how many children (and adults) that Talia helped. 2/
As a result of fighting TWO forms of cancer for over six years (half her life) Talia had received thousands of units of blood, and, as her mom explained, Talia learned about the importance of blood donors the hard way, because of a blood supply shortage. 3/

THREAD: I've seen a lot of "How to Help" posts & I am so grateful for the people who want to help. Having been evacuated from my home for 18 days during the #CarrFire and now living in a community recovering from a natural disaster, I have a few additions. 1/
There are agencies in Butte County doing the best they can but simply don't have the resources to serve the populations that have been displaced. For example, schools are closed until Dec 2. The County library system sure could use an infusion of cash. buttecounty.net/Portals/28/Don… 2/
Libraries will be places of refuge from the smoke but they will also be where people can make copies, access the internet, pick up forms, read books to their kids. 3/
