#ClimateActionNow implies that we should all act now to do what we can, bring reasonable about it. We can check what fossil fuel we could stop burning, or at least reduce burning. And reduce its use.
The best way of reducing GHG emissions is by changing personal behavior by changing our routines. Switch from a car to a e-bike, walk to the shops, review all the uses of electricity at home and switch off unnecessary uses.
Note: This is NOT an effect of the rollout of the COVID mRNA vaccine to healthcare workers in Leeds, followed by the general population.

#Budget2023 has an industrial strategy. However, it is clear that it will be insufficient to meet the requirements of #NetZero in the right place, in a timely manner in order to reach the target by 2040, not 2050. We are in war-time crises of an unprecedented kind.
Russia has been waging a cyber war against the West for at least 10, if not 15, years. Now due to #Brexit, #COVID19 , & #WarInUkraine, prices, especially energy & food, are spiking, but the Tory govt is either inadequate or absent in response.

The #AR6 #SYR is groundbreaking in its examination of issues of equity and climate change. For the first time, the report emphasizes the unequal historical and ongoing contributions, and differential vulnerabilities within and between nations/regions/peoples. (1/n)
The report highlights that climate change has been driven by unsustainable energy use, land use, and consumption patterns across regions. Unequal contributions have arisen due to differences in countries' activities, and some have contributed far less than others. (2/n)
Vulnerable communities who have historically contributed the least to climate change are disproportionately affected, both in terms of who is impacted and the severity of impacts. This stark reality underscores the need for fair burden-sharing. (3/n)

3. If #ClimateActionNow has any meaning whatsoever it means "reduce emissions now" and since 100% of all emissions are in aid of some objective within our economy, slowing speeds and reducing demand for things is climate action *now*. The rest is all, also 100%, energy use now.
