Miembros de este lobby pretenden escindirse del pueblo del que son parte y pretenden ejercer un derecho que la @CIJ_ICJ ha establecido con claridad meridiana quien es su sujeto activo: el pueblo de Mauricio.
Pero veamos que ha dicho la Corte al respecto de estos puntos en la Opinión Consultiva sobre el Arcipiélago de #Chagos : 1) Acuerdo de Lancaster House, 2) el sujeto de derecho de libre determinación 2.1) referéndum y 3) la unidad colonial que debe ser, justamente, descolonizada.
In 2004, the @CIJ_ICJ asserted the duty to establish, as soon as possible, a #Palestinian state. The Court was of the view, at the time, that negotiations between the parties would (likely?) resolve outstanding problems on the basis of international law. It was not the case. 
April 2014 was the last attempt at bilateral (indirect) negotiations, after which #Israel abandoned even the appearance of trying to bring its belligerent occupation of #Palestinian territory to an end.
Towards the end of the month, #UNGA77 will address the question of #Palestine back to the @CIJ_ICJ, cognizant of the #Israeli government determination to continue its occupation - and with it the subversion of #Palestinian self -determination - perpetually.
The UK is on the verge of decolonising #Mauritius completely.
It has signalled that it would return the #Chagos Islands to Mauritius in a few months.
But Chagos houses a massive American military base. So how real will the decolonisation actually be?

A clean relinquishing of its claim to Chagos aligns with international law.
