The share of Americans without health insurance jumped from 7.9% in 2017 to 8.5% in 2018—the first increase in the uninsured rate since the Affordable Care Act took effect.

THREAD: Our first look at the #CensusData shows us that nearly 2 million more people were without health insurance in 2018 compared to 2017. That's 27.5 million people without health coverage.
The % of people who are uninsured rose in both of the #CensusData surveys which is the first time this has happened since the enactment of the Affordable Care Act. The uninsured rate rose to 8.5% compared to 7.9% in 2017.
