1) Angina affects almost one quarter of patients with CCS but resolves with conservative management and without cardiovascular events in most patients.
2) Resolution of angina with conservative management at 1 year predicts outcomes similar to those observed in patients who were angina-free.
3) since most pts have no angina, those with angina are likely to experience symptom resolution, and as there is no demonstrated outcome benefit to routine revascularization but benefit is symptom relief, CLARIFY emphasizes the value of conservative management of stable CAD.
