Let’s start with @AKenreich Who got the Golden Spoke award tonight. This is a award to recognize someone that has helped bicycle advocacy for all ages. 
@AKenreich has done so much work. She championed issues for biking on a state and local level. She has used her amazing art talents to remember Alexis Bounds, and push for open and shared streets. And she has always pushed to make it safe to get more kids on bikes.

#BikeDEN in the last 2 days I’ve heard of 3 bikes stolen from friends on here. If you don’t have your bike serial number written down, take 1 min to take a photo of it. It’s super easy. And register your bike here with @DenverPolice secure.coplogic.com/dors/en/filing…
We actually got a stolen bike back last year because we reported the serial number to DPD and it was flagged when someone tried to sell it to a pawn shop for... checks notes... $10!!!! Having the serial number is your best chance of getting the bike back.
And better yet, get a really good lock from places like @SloHiCoffeeBike or @bikeshopgirlcom so you don’t have to worry about it getting stolen in the first place.
#BikeDEN community meeting coming up next week in NW Denver! “6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at Scheitler Recreation Center, 5031 West 46th Avenue, will concentrate on improving "how people travel by bike, by bus, by car and on foot in Northwest Denver."
Other meetings coming up elsewhere in town depending on where you live!

TONIGHT! West 23rd Ave Bike Lane mtg. Please attend to support this proposed protected bike lane design. Only 3 blocks from the 28 RTD bus route if you are not yet comfortable biking there. 23rd Ave bike lane was about 80-90% cleared off of snow.

26th Ave and Alcott is the closest bus stop on the #28 RTD line. You can also take the #10 RTD bus to 7th St and Water St next to the Denver Aquarium.

Here is the West 23rd Ave bike lane. The city’s current policy is that plows will attempt to plow these when possible, the reality is that they often don’t get plowed at all even days after the storm and sometimes weeks in the cold winter months when it turns to hard pack ice:
Currently there are no provisions in place to plow any of the neighborhood bikeways like this one on W 35th Ave.

And here is quick refresher on what #BikeDEN thought about the proposed designs for 23rd Ave: I’m hoping for the option that has protected lanes on both sides of the road. The two way lane with downhill traffic going so fast seems a little hairy to me. twitter.com/i/moments/1134…
