Suddenly big media houses are opening their third Bengali channels after having only English and Hindi for the longest time. There's conclaves everywhere, employment opportunities for journalists.
Politics is a big industry: IPAC, BJP, CPIM has employed a host of people from Calcutta colleges: marketing, data analysis, campaign, law, accounts etc etc. Further banner printing, chair & sound systems hiring etc etc brings massive opportunities to local businesses.
