Special Public Prosecutor Rajesh Mahajan is submitting his arguments over the plea filed by Co-accused Shahzad Ahmad against his conviction in the case.
Bareilly-based cleric and Ittihad-e-Millat Council chief Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan, who recently joined Congress, said that those killed in the 2008 #BatlaHouse encounter in Delhi were "not terrorists and should be declared martyrs".
Congress had said to me that they would probe Batla House encounter if their government is formed in 2009. Had there been a probe, the world would have known those killed as terrorists should be given martyr status."
Politician and Islamic cleric Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan was earlier booked for derogatory comments against PM Narendra Modi and reportedly issuing threats against the Hindu community.

If one were to draw out a list of those who questioned the #BatlaHouse encounter (that broke the back of #IndianMujahideen) you will find fingerprints of a very powerful ecosystem. An ecosystem that challenged Batla House, Ishrat Jahan encounter, Pak LeT sponsored Samjhauta blast
Questions must be asked. State must explain actions. But when NHRC & courts weigh in, law of land must prevail. Subverting democracy for political/personal gains amounts to playing into the hands of our enemies & as Samjhauta & Batla House cases have shown we have strong enemies.
Is it the same ecosystem that surfaces each time? From Batla House to anti CAA protests? Is there a pattern? Powerful, well funded, well connected Ecosystem? In both Batla House & Ishrat Jahan cases there were inputs & terror modules busted. Yet some tried to derail war on terror

@Aabhas24 @ARanganathan72 This is the story of Jogendra Nath Mandal. He was one of the Founding Fathers of Pakistan. Wait, what? Yes. He was a Bengali, and a Hindu ( Dalit ). He was subjected to vehement caste discrimination as he belonged to the untouchable “Namasudra Community.” #BatlaHouse
