Due delle tante barche in pericolo che ci hanno chiamati dal #Mediterraneo centrale a novembre sono scomparse. Temiamo che si tratti di due naufragi invisibili e silenziosi, che le autorità Europee si rifiutano di riconoscere.
Il 21 novembre siamo stati chiamati da 94 persone in fuga dalla #Libia su gommone che si stava sgonfiando. Due #ONG, #OpenArms e #AitaMari, l’hanno cercato tutta la notte invano. Le autorità #UE hanno rifiutato di intervenire e di riconoscere il potenziale naufragio.
Il 29 novembre 70 persone ci hanno chiamati dalla zona #SAR di #Malta mentre stavano imbarcando acqua. Abbiamo allertato le autorità europee e #AlanKurdi. Malta ha riferito che @Armed_Forces_MT hanno cercato la barca senza trovarla. Da allora nessuna risposta, solo silenzio.
Two of the many boats in distress in the Central #Mediterranan that reached out to the Alarm Phone in November went missing. We fear that these are two invisible & silenced #shipwrecks that #European authorities refuse to acknowledge.
On November 21, 94 people fleeing from #Libya alerted us when their rubber boat was deflating. Two #NGO vessels, #OpenArms and #AitaMari, searched all night in vain. #EU authorities refused to respond to the distress & to acknowledge a potential shipwreck.
On November 29, a blue wooden boat with 70 people alerted us from #Malta #SAR zone as water was entering the boat. We alerted European authorities & #AlanKurdi. We were told that @Armed_Forces_MT searched for the boat & couldn't find it. Since then, no answers, only silence.
