民進黨候選人陳時中在北平東路競選總部前舉辦「為台北挺身而出」選前之夜催票活動，身兼民進黨主席的總統蔡英文、行政院長蘇貞昌、身兼競總主委的前副總統陳建仁均參與晚會。到了晚間8時50分，主辦方在台上表示現場人數已經到3.5萬人。而最後估計陳時中選前之夜現場有6萬人到場支持。
