昨今、この国は、自分より大きなものに奉仕することの犠牲をあまりに美化する傾向が強まっています。確かに、看護師たちは自分より大きなものー他者の命という尊いもの守るために奉仕してくださっています。ならば、その責務に専念させてあげることが、この困難な時代の要請なのではないのでしょうか。
