Do you think we would have more protection? Against falling down or being plowed over?

Move #1
Master knowing yourself.
Knowing yourself is rarely talked about in business circles, but it's impossible to think ahead without self-awareness. Once you definitively decide who you want to be, which direction to take will become much more clear, as well as why it matters.
Move #2
Master the ability to reason.
How to process issues, & having a methodology for making decisions are important. No decision is ever black-and-white, and if you can learn to see all shades of gray, that will help u move forward decisively, even in the face of uncertainty.

Key takeaways from the Book 'Psychology of Money' by @morganhousel

Long thread, but worth the read.

1. No one's Crazy

Studying history makes you feel that you have understood it, but until you have lived through it & personally felt the consequences, you may not understand it enough to change your behavior

Some lessons have to be experienced before they can be understood

2. Luck & Risk

When judging others, attributing success to luck makes you look jealous & mean, even if we know it exists, but when judging yourself, attributing success to luck can be demoralizing to accept.

Your Dharma and Mine - Shatavadhani Dr. R. Ganesh

A book that makes the reader contemplate on every single word, a truly genius of a book.

I wouldn’t even dare to even think of rating this book, but yet it has maximum stars for me & beyond

1/
Dharma, what does it mean? What does it signify? For such existential questions, one definite reference is this book by Dr. Ganesh. Samanya Dharma which is the core tenet of our lives is discussed in very fine detail.

2/
The author has quoted multiple sources including Samhitas, Arayanakas, Upanishads, Srimad Bhagwad Gita, Puranas like Agni Purana, Mahabharatha, Yajnyavalkya Smriti, Manu Smriti, Apastamba-dharma-sutra to name a few.

If you perfectly combine history, geography, science, mythology, and fiction, you'll have a delicious book cocktail. Aside from the Bharat series, there is no such thing as a perfect book cocktail.

The seventh book in the Bharat series is The Magicians of Mazda.
Books in the Bharat series are, as usual, very catchy. I'm accustomed to finishing Ashwinji's book faster than others. When I start reading any book in the Bharat series, my reading speed increases, and I try to finish the last chapter as soon as possible.

Why having a pulse oximeter is so important if you get sick. You can get one on Amazon or drug store.
Lots of contraindications and drug interactions with Paxlovid. Even if you can qualify or get it prescribed, you may not be able to take it. Here's detailed info:

Bottom line: TALK TO YOUR DOCTORS. Show them the FDA Paxlovid sheet. I'm hearing from people that some of their doctors don't know the contraindications & drug interactions, and others here are downplaying and dismissing the FDA info. Twitter is not a health care provider. ❤🙏

Can we always be connected?

A thread #4 🧵 inspired by a book 📚 “The Culture Code” by @DanielCoyle

“Culture is a set of living relationships working toward a shared goal. It’s not something you are. It’s something you do.”

#BookRecommendations #agile
1/11
"The Culture Code" provides great insights into how successful teams are created, shares ideas distilled from scientific research and close examination of many successful groups: sport, navy, comedians, jewellery thieves or modern software companies, eg. Google, Pixar,IDEO.
2/11
This book explains that there is no mystery behind great teams, but it’s rather a process that can be understood and controlled. It shows also that building a cohesive team requires a constant and conscious effort; a team is not built at once and once only.

I’ve read about 150 books (mostly on management, leadership and business) in the last five years. Here are books I recommend for those transitioning into a leadership role, and/or are middle managers. #BookRecommendations #leadership
Transitioning into a leadership role is very exciting but can be challenging. As a leader, you have to effectively (1) lead yourself, (2) lead & inspire others, (3) manage time, resources, and projects to get results. Here're the books I recommend. Five on on each (1, 2 & 3)
On self-leadership:
1. Managing Oneself by Peter Drucker
2. True North: Discover Your Authentic Leadership by Bill George, Peter Sims
3. Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman

I have an annual book reading average of 30+ and 2021 was no different. So, I thought I'd post (for the first time) my top ten books of the year. I tend to read a diverse array, from philosophy and epistemology to science and current issues. So, not in any particular order..
This book written by Rob Brotherton (@rob_brotherton) was a fantastic read on why people believe in conspiracy theories, and how we are all prone to nonsensical thinking - it's not just an affliction of people on the fringes of society wearing tinfoil hats
In a similar fashion, Michael Shermer (@michaelshermer) tackles the psychology and neurobiology of why we believe in pseudoscientific nonsense and unsupported claims

Investing means different things to different people - Be it health/ career/external assets with an intent to reap benefits in future.

So then is everyone an Investor ?
No.
When people do different things with even same investment products we give it a different name.

Investing is a PERSONAL Plan .
It's NOT a product . NOT a procedure.

One needs to have a clear picture of one's financials BEFORE making an investment plan.
