فخرالدین المعانی کیسل کو ڈروز کے شہزادے فخرالدین المعانی نے 13ویں صدی میں پالمیرا شہر تک پہنچنے کے لیے مملوکوں (Mamluks) نے ماؤنٹ لبنان گورنریٹ کو توسیع دینے کے بعد تعمیر کیا تھا۔
یہ قلعہ پالمیرا کے تاریخی مقام کو دیکھنے والی ایک اونچی پہاڑی پر تعمیر کیا گیا اور اس کا نام ڈروز کے

2013 میں، شام کی خانہ
قلعہ نخلستان کو نظر انداز کرتے ھوئے ایک پہاڑی چوٹی پر مضبوط پوزیشن میں بنایا گیا تھا۔ کبھی اس محل کے چاروں اطراف گہری کھائی ھوا کرتی تھی۔
نہ صرف یہ محل بلکہ پالمیرابھی دونوں #یونیسکو عالمی ورثے کاحصہ ھے۔

I took this photo from the other side. If you zoom in, you can see where the aqueduct turns a corner and changes from two arcades to one
It was constructed using large unmortared bricks of granite ashlar. Indent holes in the ashlar blocks show where ancient crane clamps lifted them into place. Grooves at the top of the blocks show where iron levers were used to manoeuvre them into position.

2/ Here it is moments after recovery last July. This was one of the most interesting artifacts I had ever seen. Also, I had No Idea what this thing was, but I found it so evocative. Look at that weird little face on there! Look at that delicate handle!
3/ So, the guessing games began. Here's a video of it in motion - that's right, it moves! That little iron bit near the "arm" is a tiny delicate hinge. And I mean delicate, we don't move it anymore bc it's very corroded.

The earliest of Panchtantra tales is found from the potteries excavated in Lothal. It has stories of crows, fox and pigeons. The potteries dates at least 4500 years old when it was baked in a kiln. It survived somehow.

یہاں رومن دور میں مذہبی تقریبات منعقد ھوتی تھیں اور سینکڑوں لوگوں کو ایک ساتھ دفن کیا جاتا تھا۔

The House of Menander is one of the grandest houses in Pompeii, complete with its own private bath complex. It is named after a fresco in a garden portico of the Athenian playwright Menander.

میں اسکندریہ کے ضلع سیدی گابر میں ایک نئی عمارت کی تعمیر کیلئےدوران کھدائی بہت بڑے سائز کے تابوت جن کی پیمائش 72.8 انچ 104.3 انچ 65 ھے، دریافت ھوئے ہیں۔
یہ حیران کن طور پرپہلے تمام دریافت شدہ تابوتوں سے کئی گنا بڑے ہیں۔ یہ تابوت شہر میں اب تک کا سب سے بڑا تابوت ھے۔
اسے 2000 سالوں

سے نہیں کھولا گیا۔ تدفین کے اس بڑے تابوت کو مارٹر سے بند کیاگیا تھا۔ یہ تابوت زمین سے 16 فٹ نیچے پایا گیا ھے جو کہ خیال کیا جاتا ھے کہ بطلیموس دور (305 قبل مسیح تا 30 قبل مسیح /Ptolmic Era) سےمتعلق ھے۔
یہ بھی خیال کیاجاتا ھےکہ یہ مقبرےاسکندر اعظم کے332 قبل مسیح میں اس علاقے کوفتح

ایک سال تک اس نے اپنا ابتدائی سروے مکمل کر لیا اور تباہ شدہ زیگورات کے قریب ایک خندق کھودنے پر اس کے کارکنوں کی ٹیم کو سونے اور قیمتی پتھروں سے بنی قبروں اور زیورات کے شواہد ملے۔ انہوں نے اسے "سونے کی خندق" کہا گیا۔ آہستہ آہستہ تقریباً 1,800 قبروں کا پردہ فاش کیا۔

سادہ گڑھوں پر مشتمل تھیں جن کی لاش مٹی کے تابوت میں رکھی گئی تھی یا سرکنڈے کی چٹائی میں لپٹی ہوئی تھی۔ برتن، زیورات اورذاتی اشیاء جسم کو گھیرے ہوئے تھے۔ تاہم، سولہ قبریں غیر معمولی تھیں۔ یہ صرف سادہ گڑھےنہیں تھے بلکہ پتھرکےمقبرےتھےجن میں اکثرکئی کمرہ نما دکھائی دیتےتھے۔
