These notices highlight the unique position of Preston Street Primary sitting diectly on the boundary of a “Low Emission Zone” which skirts two sides of a primary school building. Step out of the playground at either side of the building and you step directly outside the #LEZ
As far as we are aware there are no current plans to extend the LEZ coverage area beyond the current plans. Hopefully this will change when there is #AirPollution data available once the current zone is in operation. #ActiveTravel #Edinburgh #LEZ

In between these meetings, our local colleagues repeatedly and strongly recommended that we wear masks to protect our lungs against the pollution outside. We (and they) were definitely feeling the impacts of the poor air quality on our bodies. 😷 #airpollution
Of course, as someone who studies air pollution from the energy sector and its impact on our health, I started watching the Air Quality Index (AQI) numbers that I could see. Which sat at around 200 in Delhi and 130 in Mumbai during our trip.

But despite the rapid recent drop, long term policy really matters. Car ownership in Camden has been falling since 2010. Why? In my view, at least 3 fundamentals matter here ...

(2/4) This bank provides agro-machinery -- such as Mulcher, Happy Seeder, Bailer, Zero Drill and Roto Seeder -- at a nominal rent to manage crop residues, particularly #paddy #stubble.

One resident who lives in a Smoke Control Area in the affluent London Borough of Kingston Upon Thames told me that smoke pollution has "ruined her life".
